Location

Comraich is situated on the Isle of Lewis in the coastal township of Back, a peaceful crofting community approximately 7 miles north of Stornoway. Lewis is the northern part of the Island of Lewis and Harris, the largest island of the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides of Scotland.

Getting there

By Plane

via Stornoway airport (approximately 10 miles from the cottage). Flybe operates direct from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness. Additional flights from Inverness are operated by Highland Airways. Flights from Aberdeen are operated by Eastern Airways.

By Ferry

from Ullapool to Stornoway or from Uig (Isle of Skye) to Tarbert in Harris.

Journey times by car to Comraich:

– from Tarbert 1 hour.

The easiest way to get around the Island is by car.

A car hire service is available at the airport. There are further car hire services allowing pick up and drop off at the ferry terminal.
